Link Insurance Company Limited – Transfer of Insurance Business

The general insurance business of Link Insurance Company Limited was transferred to Zenith Insurance Plc at 11.59pm on Monday 31 December 2007 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Gibraltar Insurance Companies Act 1987 and following approval from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.

Information for Policyholders

Link policyholders have not been affected by the transfer of Link to Zenith.

• The policy cover and any endorsements or excesses that apply to the existing cover will simply transfer to the new insurer (Zenith) on 1 January 2008 and will be exactly the same as they were with Link. 

• Current Link certificates of insurance and policy schedules remain legally valid and will be updated to show Zenith as the insurer the next time that a change is made to the policy e.g. change of vehicle.

• Claims outstanding or ongoing at the date of transfer are unaffected. Link and Zenith use the same network of service providers and repairers so claims will continue to be handled and dealt with in the usual way.

The telephone numbers and contact details in current policies, schedules and certificates have transfered to Zentih and can be used to contact Zenith to notify claims, complaints etc.
